When I get myself into a friendship, I always assume that it's going to last until one of us faces Judgement Day. I don't know about other people, but that's how I think. I'm usually good at keeping in touch with people I love and consider friends. BUT.. I have a question: What if you aren't like that, if you assume that one of your friendships won't last forever, would you care about that other person even if it was temporary? (I was asked this early this morning, and it kind of upset me.)

i used to beleive that friendships last forever but i dont beleive that anymore.. i beleive family stays forever;p
You never know what hapenns with friendship, you could be perfect one day and then the next you find out that everything she said was a lie .. (you know who im talking about ;p)
But in my mind I like to think that its gona last a lifetime and so I care for that person. But if anything happens, it happens for good reasons and you just have to accept how are things are.

I believe that if both sides in a friendship want it to last they can make it happen...but one has to be realistic and regard the fact that people can easily drift apart in this crazy world.

well baby,,, wut i like to do is enjoy every minute to the fullest... so even if i know this friend is not gonna last forever i would like to leave an impression and enjoy my time with them as it lasts....plus, u never know wen or where ur gonna meet them again... oo a person can never hve enough friends if they do or dont continue staying in touch with them.... and the only reason not to b friends with som1 is if ma titwalmoon ma3a ba3a'6, mo if u know ur not gonna b friends for a long time...

I know EXACTLY how you feel..I was never asked but I asked myself this question. I was never the person to simply drift off from a tight friendship just cuz we graduated or changed schools..but sadly it happend to me TWICE..thought the second one would be different but it wasn't. Now I know for a fact that everyone leaves, I still care and have close friendships but keep that thought glued in my head (wouldn't be hard to forget after those experiences).

That just didn't happen to me, so I don't understand why people assume that friendships are temporary. The only friendships that didn't last were the ones I ended.
