[QUESTION] What would you be in your perfect world?

For example, if you had the chance to make the world perfect, what position would you put yourself in? The king/queen? The peasant? The law enforcer? What?

I'd posses omnipotent power, and rule all humanity and have them serve under my ruling! Mowahahahahaha!

But seriously.. I'd be a writer.. educating others and enlightening the world.. Knowledge is freedom.

The Archer
Lol, not far from what I expected. Just kidding;p

Knowledge is definitely freedom, but the world doesn't want to be enlightened at times.

Why not be a writer in this world?;)

Can you please explain the word "Perfect" ?

Isn't it relative ?

Give us a benchmark please.

~ Soul

I'd rather be batman ....

Amethyst said...

purelyorchid
Hehe, souds a bit too superhero-ish;p

Âme
I can't.

Yes, it is relative. There is no benchmark, but if you like, you could use Plato's The Republic. It's what inspired this post.

Grey
Lol, I don't see why you wouldn't want that;p

I don't want to rule the perfect world. Making a world perfect is too hard.
In my perfect worls, I want to own an animal reservation in Kuwait. Where animals have their rights. I know too cheesy but I want that!

Wishful sinking sounds good to me:)

Don Juan
Again, it's your world. You can have no easy come easy go.

Ruby Woo
Very humane:)

Diddlina
So do murderers, politicians, philosophers, etc.

e.g. Lizzie Borden, Abraham Lincoln, Plato..

Is it the power of words?

:)

Don Juan said...

if I was born as a king ,, how am I going to feel what the peasants and labours are going through ??

but if it's up to me I don't want to be a king ,, R2ees Et7ad Kort El Qadam + El Lajna El Olombia El Asywia is enough for me ;p

Amethyst said...

Don Juan
You don't need to.

It's your world. You can be whatever you want to be.

I can tell you haven't settled on one thing.

Âme said...

I would be a king, whose interests would be the interests of his subjects.

A counsel would be formed of wise men, those who shall be called guardians and whose wisdom will be to serve the cause of overall justice and peace.

Each society at different locations would compromise of such wise men and women, whose wisdom not only serves the universal cause but also local causes.

There would be no perfect world, yet, an undying effort would be made on behalf of the kings to come and counsel guardians.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
Well thought out, but not everyone can be wise. So, what if the societies had men and women who weren't wise?

Âme said...

We would make some then.

Spreading knowledge of the wise would be on the the primary concerns of the king.

~ Soul

Âme said...

Typo
**...would be one of the primary concerns...**

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
Wouldn't it cause too much uniformity?

Âme said...

No, it wouldn't.

Because the wisdom of one region would be specific to that region, however, the souls of the causes would retain their respective meanings.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
What about uniformity within a region/community?

Âme said...

Since it is a community, the wisdom of the community is collective.

Such a community would always be non-uniform by its nature.

However, the guardians wisdom would try to cater to such non-uniformity.

Ergo, the trying for perfection.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
I certainly wouldn't want to live in such a world, but it's all yours:)

Âme said...

May i dare to ask, why you wouldnt want to live in such a world ?

~ Soul

Anonymous said...

The title!! THE TITLE!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Amethyst said...

Âme
Because I believe in each person having their own causes, and those causes would serve in the path to perfection in one way or another.

Plus, uniformity in ANYTHING annoys me:)

Sou
Lol! I know!;p

Âme said...

The individual has all the freedom to express his thoughts, reasons and explanation to causes.

There should be a reference point which might be relative, however, its existence is important.

Individuals make the community and thus are the building blocks.

--

About the uniformity, it is not a practical term when considering societies.

There would be no uniformity. However, having reference points as discussed above becomes important.

If there were no reference points and individuals when left without honing their thoughts with reference points and then judging for themselves, how they could contribute at a larger level for the community...there would be chaos.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
I like the world I live in now. It might not totally match the reality of the whole world, but my world seems perfect enough.

There is no reference point, and there is a good kind of chaos. People learn from cause and effect.

If I lived in your perfect world, I'd be exiled by the wise guardians;p

Âme said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
Âme said...

No you wouldn't be exiled.

Since my world is the world what is it right now. (The only difference is there is uni-position of a king)

You are already living in it.

However, the wise guardians are not seen, they are a very small minority.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
This world isn't striving for perfection as a whole. Each nation is doing it separately to benefit themselves.

The small minority of guardians isn't really making a difference if they can't be seen.

Âme said...

Yes it is.

The definition of perfection is on line.

The minority still counts.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
It counts, but the difference it makes needs to be bigger..

Âme said...

Open your eyes and ears.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
They've been open for quite a while, now..

Âme said...

Probably you should be looking and hearing somewhere else.

~ Soul

Amethyst said...

Âme
Maybe.

id be a law enforcer with a shot gun and the right to shoot anyone who smokes and people who drive like idiots! (no offence to either, they just piss me off)

and maybe add an extra category or two to that eg: alien head 7ijab people, mna8aba woman with the tightest 3abaya, guys who annoy girls everywhere, guys who wear boxers, the vast majority of our MPs etc etc etc

Amethyst said...

ĐǻñĎõøðñ
The population would definitely decrease.

Diversity is good..

Anonymous said...

diversity is good when everyone knows and respects their limits, allowing the community to live inpeace and harmony

diversity is NOT good when everyone thinks theyre right and swalef if youre not with me then youre against me

ps: the world is overpopulated anyway ;)

Amethyst said...

ĐǻñĎõøðñ
You're contradicting yourself:)

You think you're right in cutting out:

"alien head 7ijab people, mna8aba woman with the tightest 3abaya, guys who annoy girls everywhere, guys who wear boxers, the vast majority of our MPs etc etc etc"

The munaqaba wearing a tight 3abaya thinks she is right, but she is not preaching that everyone else dresses similarly.

Are these people going against you?

Anonymous said...

thats exactly my point!!
she does go around saying ena the person eli dresses like that is katha o katha o katha
im okay with it, she can wear watever she damn well pleases, bs when she goes around saying choofay hathy shino labsa o entay laish mo m7ajba o look at how short her skirt is

thats when it gets on my nerves!! you cant preach about something if you're doing it yourself if you know what i mean :)

Amethyst said...

ĐǻñĎõøðñ
Let me emphasize what I said earlier:

The munaqaba wearing a tight 3abaya thinks she is right, but she is not preaching that everyone else dresses similarly.

Then, you should argue against hypocrites or narrow-minded people rather than those who dress or act in certain ways.

Anonymous said...

fair enough :)
hypocrites it is :)
i suppose thats what i was thinking of at the back of my head, but i apologize cz i didnt make it very clear :)

Amethyst said...

ĐǻñĎõøðñ
No problem.

Diddlina said...

You are right. but we've got a choice whether to write for inspiration or destruction..
I remembered something from " the thirteenth tale " by Diane Setterfield " :
(People disappear when they die.Their voice, their laughter, the warmth of their breath.Their flesh.Eventually their bones. All living memory of them ceases. This is both dreadful and natural.Yet for some there is an exception to this annihilation. For in the books they write they continue to exist. We can rediscover them. Their humour, their tone of voice, their moods.Through the written word they can anger you or make you happy. They can comfort you. They can perplex you. They can alter you.All this, even though they are dead.Like flies in amber, like corpses frozen in ice, that which according to the law of nature should pass away is,by the miracle of ink on paper, preserved. It is a kind of magice ).
Yes words are very powerful =)

Amethyst said...

Diddlina
You'll be remembered either way:)
